My daily commute to school. 50 minutes walking, 2 transfers, and oh yeah, it was pouring today.
Dollar stores are awesome no matter where you are...
Ducks! They're not so fond of me though...
Not sure the safety of being here since it's in the water, nor the legality considering I jump a wall to get there, but the escape makes it worth it.
View of the bay from my new favorite spot.

Because it's just not a sporting goods store without some taxidermy.
Apparently, Get swol translates pretty well.
"Mmmm, donuts." -Homer
New favorite restaurant? I think so.

I can touch the roof of this overpass. I feel like a giant...
Overpass over a croquet court. With like, 10 old people shuffling around.
The keys are in there... I need transportation... I'm sure they won't mind if I borrow it right?
Poor sad little taiko drum...
I don't think I'm supposed to be here, but these are super fun to run across...
One of the few instances of graffiti I found.
No idea what this does...
Because who doesn't want their children playing behind a couple factories right next to the ocean?
God, Allah, Yahweh, Buddha, whatever you call it, there's one Japanese symbol for it. Maybe they've figured it out, and we're all praying to the same deity.
Now that's a ship you can trust.
Osaka Bay in the morning. Nothing starts off your day like being glared at by old men fishing.
I'm not sure why this side of Japan fascinates me so much. Maybe because the common perception is high-tech and cutting edge, seeing this is almost counter intuitive.
Delicious coffe? In a can? From a vending machine? Hot? For only 100yen? Where have you been all my life?

Might as well make the most of waking up at 4 in the morning.
At least somebody got some sleep on the plane...
Dance studio, Karaoke bar, apartments, I'm not sure what this building isn't...

It's weird that an island nation, which puts a premium on space, would have empty lots like this.
We seem to be missing a few floors... Until you realize the apartments are 2 stories.
Rainbow Shopping Center. Tiny, probably built in the 70s, a little dark inside, but you can get basically anything you'd need. Coffe shop, udon, and takoyaki all next to each other. I'm not going anywhere else for food.
I love wandering on random things like this. It makes the adventure worthwhile.
Their town seal glorifies baseball, and sake production. Looks like I picked a good place to be.
Homogeneity and ubiquity scare me...
Settling in to the new room. Super well taken care of already.
Views from my room and off the porch. Not half bad having Osaka Bay in the back yard.
KOSHIEN! My first glimpse of the stadium. People on their way to watch the Spring Tournament.
I guess if you're that thirsty...
Flames out of one pillar, and billowing steam out of another. What are they doing over there?
6:00am and these people are all awake, and excitedly working. What drugs are they putting in their food...?
A JAL plane with Fuji in the distance. Welcome to Tokyo.
Flight isn't until 7:30. It's 6:00am. Want to make sure I don't miss anything.
